Activities
We are currently investigating the relations between war and earth at three different sites.
In Gaza, we are collecting soil samples, conducting tests on wastewater, and recording serial numbers of munition remnants. The work is undertaken carefully in the context of genocidal warfare with the objective of understanding the longer-term effects of Israel’s military assault on the environment and public health in Gaza.
In Iraq, we are currently monitoring military burn pit activities where we conduct in-depth health questionnaires to examine links between exposure to war debris with patterns of public health.
In Rwanda, we have carried out pilot research into military supply chains.
